JMurls Microbrew and Fantasy Insight of the Week

JMurl's Microbrew of the Week

Dogfish Head AbriHop

Brewed by: Dogfish Head Craft Brewery/Milton, DE

Style: American IPA

Abv: 7%

An American pale ale brewed with real apricots...average appearance with a slight red color...fantastic aromas of hops, apricot, and light malt...medium bodied, with a lingering hop flavor...4 out of 5 burps

Rating system:

5 burps- The cream of the crop...your taste buds will thank you
4 burps- Good brew, but not the crème de la crème that would get 5 burps
3 burps- Okay, but “I'm not a big fan” and its got alcohol in it, so I'll drink it
2 burps- “Do you have any Bud Light instead of this?”
1 burp-   This brew sucks so bad, it make you want to run to the closest AA meeting

Sit em'/Start em' (week of 4/7 through 4/14)
Start Em':
Adam LaRoche (Nationals-1B) Has a great support staff of Werth and Zimmerman...playing Mets this weekend and should have a field day facing Dickey, Capuano (starting debut) and a Chris Young that is still high from the Pat's “One Wit With” he ate after Tuesday performance against the Phitins...
Brian Roberts (Orioles-2B)  In only 5 games this year, he has 2 dingers, 1 triple, and 8 RBI's...facing the Rangers and Yankees in the next two series, but should provide a lot of spark for the resurgent O's from Birdland
Tom Gorzelanny (Nationals-P)  Will be making his first start of the season this Saturday against a Mets current roster that is a combined 8-for-46 (.117) and no homers
Sit Em':
Jake Westbrook (Cardinals-P)  Gave up 8 runs and 6 hits in only 4 1/3 against the Padres on April 2nd...and it doesn't get any easier at AT&T Park this weekend....keep em' on your bench until he can prove himself...
Adrian Beltre (Rangers-3B)  Batting 3 for 25 (as of 4/6) and his only highlight came against the Sox when he belted a Grand Salami...look for other options at third base until he turns it around
Chipper Jones (Braves-3B)  Although he got off to a great start with 3 doubles in 6 games, he faces Cliff Lee, Roy Oswalt, and a rebounding Cole Hamels this weekend...get him back in the lineup against the Marlins next week, but bench him for the Phils

  1. Carl Crawford is murder at the plate so far this year and I'm not talking about the good kind.
